studio

CPRV is a collaborative project run by Camille Paillard and Romain Voulet, working between London and Marseille. Formed by designers gathered together from different backgrounds, the practice designs products, home furniture, interior spaces and things to live with.



Camille Paillard, practiced as designer at JLK DS studio and Tom Dixon, where she worked on bespoke furniture as well as on hotels, restaurants and private interiors; for clients such as Tom Dixon, Philippe Malouin, a:tifakt, Hennessy and Pierre Marcolini. Prior to this, her experience as designer included positions at Front Design, Philippe Starck and Blackbody Oled. She studied design for luxury and craftsmanship at ECAL in Switzerland, where she graduated in 2012.

Romain Voulet, former designer at Industrial Facility, under Sam Hecht and Kim Colin, where he created home furniture, office systems and things to live with; for industry pioneers such as Herman Miller, Muji or Mattiazzi. He previously practiced at Youmeus Design where he designed everyday objects for clients such as Panasonic, Joseph Joseph, Nokia and Kenwood. He studied industrial design at EID in the South of France, where he graduated in 2011.

KGT — nov. 2022

We have designed and produced a set of four spatulas. Made from maple wood with a rapeseed oil finish, they are carved by machine and hand finished in France. Each spatula has a special place in the kitchen, whether it is for pasta, salads or baking they have been designed with a single function in mind — available here

Our project KGT, recently designed for UTIL, has won a 2022 Wallpaper* Design Award in the “Best Metal Morphosis” category.

KGT — sep. 2021

We have designed a new product for the portuguese brand UTIL. New addition to their family of products, KGT is a simple container made from aluminium that is a portable serving tray, a stackable storage box and a wall mounted shelf. Presented during the Salone del Mobile held in Milan this September 2021.

Ensemble — jul. 2021

We have designed some modular furniture pieces for our friends at Loose Joints. They have opened a new space in central Marseille, it is called Ensemble. A space for books, editions and photography for which we designed the interior too. It also features very nice work by Dirk van der Kooij. To discover now at 7 rue Chevalier Roze, Marseille 13002.

Prototypology 350 — spring 2021

Kolektiv Cité Radieuse gallery hosted us for our first solo exhibition in Marseille. From the 19th of May to the 13th of June 2021 was presented the Prototypology 350 exhibition at the Unité d’Habitation. A space focusing on the delicate stage where an object is neither realised, finished or produced, a stage where the project usually remains unseen. We aimed to give an in-depth and didactical understanding of our design process to visitors through a series of prototypes, models, drawings, process photographs and in-context visuals of objects we designed at and for the Cité Radieuse.

Courrier — apr. 2021

We were invited by Kiosk NY to participate in their #302: EXHIBITION SERIES project at the Cité Radieuse in Marseille. From April 2021 through June 2021was held a series of exhibitions where artists were given space to show their work. Along with more than 20 artists, CPRV took this platform as a opportuninity to launch the newly designed floor lamp for Ligne Roset and Cinna named Courrier.

Dezeen x LG — mar. 2021

Two of our submissions have been shortlisted in Dezeen and LG's OLEDs Go! competition. Entrants had to come up with designs that would make the most of LG’s OLED key qualities. The projects Virage and ON&ON are respectively focusing on the flexibility and transparency of this recent technology.

We were invited by Paf Atelier to participate in the Family Guys online exhibition during the summer of 2020. Along with more than 50 artists, architects and designers, CPRV was asked to show projects that were produced during the lockdown, a time we all experienced around the world this last spring 2020.

CPRV project Courrier has been shortlisted by Cinna for their 2020 edition of “Cinna Révélateur de talents”. The project is now in development stage between the studio and Ligne Roset’s engineering team.

Touch Wood — oct. 2019

Touch Wood is an organisation created by Thomas Danthony and Clare Mabin, that supports environmental charities and grassroots campaigns by running creative projects to raise funds and awareness. We participated in their first exhibition that took place at the Dray Walk Gallery in London, 17 - 20 Oct 2019. It featured unique and hand-made art pieces by more than 50 internationally celebrated artists including Jean Jullien, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Malika Favre and many others. The only restriction was that the artwork had to be produced from the supplied 30x30x0.4cm MDF board. CPRV presented “Dry Ikebana”.
